Tuesday, September 02, 2014, 9 Maimakterion, no particular dedication, 9th night of the Waxing Moon, in Sagittarius, end of the Roman republic with the Battle of Actium, Octavian defeating the forces of Mark Anthony and Cleopatra 31 BCE, Greta Fire of London begins 1666, The Colonies and Great Britian switch from the Julian to Georgian calender 1752, death of Pheidippides, who ran to Athens from Marathon to announce Greek victory 490 BCE, first overseen by the 16th Decan, Thurmis, ruled by the Sun, the oversight then passing to the 17th Decan, Ophicus, ruled by Venus around 8:30 A.M., starting in the 20th Mansion, Al Nalaim/Nahaym, good for compulsion, underhanded dealings, good for travel, then entering the 21st Mansion of the Moon, Al Bal’dah/ Elbelda, good for acquiring material possessions, around 9:00 P.M. Planetary Hours of the Day begin with Mars at 6:23 A.M., and last 65.4 minutes. Planetary Hours of the Night commence with Saturn at 7:28 P.M., lasting 54.6 minutes, Sun in Virgo, Mercury starts in Virgo, then enters Libra 1:38 A.M., Venus in Leo, Mars in Scorpio, Jupiter in Leo, Saturn in Scorpio. Another unsettled day, as the 1st quarter can be; the Moon being square Neptune retrograde and the Sun early in the morning generates dissatisfaction. While you can see a clear path to one’s goals, things seem to not fall into place to achieve them. This makes it hard to see what positive things are occurring today under the auspices of the Moon being trine Jupiter. Try to hold it together, despite not achieving your heart’s desire. Unless you can settle your mind, this is not a great day for magical work, as desire might cause you to blunder; otherwise there is a great temptation to manipulate the actions of others. This Decan is represented by two male figures, one clad in hides, the other iron; they embody striving, work, acquisition.
