Tuesday, September 30, 2014, 7 Gamelion, dedicated to Apollo Delphinos (of Delphi) and Apollo Lykeios (of the Wolves), “The Magic Flute” premieres 1791, first use of anesthetic in dentistry 1846, City of New York established 1898, Munich Treaty giving Gemany the Sudetenland signed 1938, birthday of poet Rumi 1207, death of St. Jerome, 7th night of the Waxing Moon, the whole of the Day Void of Course in Sagittarius, overseen by the 19th Decan, Seuichat, ruled by the Moon, starting in the 20th Mansion, Al Nalaim/Nahaym, good for compulsion, underhanded dealings, good for travel, then entering the 21st Mansion of the Moon, Al Bal’dah/ Elbelda, good for acquiring material possessions, around 1:00 A.M.
Planetary Hours of the Day begin with Mars at 6:51 A.M., and last 59.1 minutes. Planetary Hours of the Night commence with Saturn at 6:41 P.M., lasting 60.9 minutes, Sun in Libra, Mercury in Scorpio, Venus in Libra, Mars in Scorpio, Jupiter in Leo, Saturn in Scorpio.
Void of Course days can go in two directions, one may either work with the path laid out by the day before, continuing the momentum of the same, or one can be a bit more adventurous and stry off the path. It really boils down to the individual personality type. The downside can be that one runs headlong into whatever planetary influences take hold when new planetary aspects present themselves the next day. I would counsel that you tend towards the first course of action,. One’s magicks may be well-employed to draw things to you today, and to elicit communications from others.

Monday, September 29, 2014, 6 Gamelion, dedicated to Artemis, Greek fleet defeats the Persians at Salamis 480 BCE, Wall St. meltdown 2008, birthday of Pompey the Great 106 BCE, 6th night of the Waxing Moon, in Sagittarius, overseen by the 19th Decan, Seuichat, ruled by the Moon, starting in the 19th Mansion, Al Shaulah/ Exaula, good for all defensive and aggressive work, then entering the 20th Mansion, Al Nalaim/Nahaym, good for compulsion, underhanded dealings, good for travel, around 1:00 A.M.
Planetary Hours of the Day begin with the Moon at 6:50 A.M., and last 59.33 minutes. Planetary Hours of the Night commence with Venus at 6:42 P.M., lasting 60.66 minutes, Sun in Libra, Mercury in Scorpio, Venus starts in Virgo, then enters Libra 4:52 P.M. Mars in Scorpio, Jupiter in Leo, Saturn in Scorpio.
If you can tamp down the desire to act on some hare-brained scheme provoked in your mind by the Moon squaring Neptune retrograde early in the morning, today holds the potential to be a most engaging and successful day. The clear thinking engendered by the Moon being sextile the Sun is boosted by the Moon being conjunct Mars (minor aches and pain ought to fade into the background). The beneficent qualities of the day carry through the night, with the Moon being trine Jupiter around 11:30 PM. All in all, you can allow this to be a very good day. Have a caution in your magicks, as the tendency is to carve out a path that could easily impinge on the prerogatives of others, thanks to the tendencies of the 20th Mansion holding forth.
Sunday, September 28, 2014
Sunday, September 28, 2014, 5 Gamelion, no particular dedication, 5th night of the Waxing Moon, starting in Scorpio, then going Void of Course 4:31 P.M. to 6:50, then entering Sagittarius, starting in the 18th Mansion of the Moon, Al Kalb/Alkab, good for plots and revenge, then entering the 19th Mansion, Al Shaulah/ Exaula, good for all defensive and aggressive work, around 1:00 A.M.William the Conquerer lands in England 1066, Juan Cabrillo enters San Diego Bay 1542, the Constitution sent to the states for ratification 1787, birthday fo Confucius 551 BCE, of Nicholas Flamel 1330 AD, of Edward Thompson, Mayan archeologist 1856, murder of Pompey the Great 48 BCE, of Herman Melville 1891, of Louis Pasteur 1895, of Edwin Hubble 1953.
Planetary Hours of the Day begin with the Sun at 6:48 A.M., and last 59.66 minutes. Planetary Hours of the Night commence with Jupiter at 6:44 P.M., lasting 60.33 minutes, Sun in Libra, Mercury in Scorpio, Venus in Virgo, Mars in Scorpio, Jupiter in Leo, Saturn in Scorpio.
Constriants should loosen a bit today, the Scorpio Moon occulding Saturn just after midnight should remove some of the challenges and blockages being experienced, which is augmented in the afternoon by the Moon being sextile Venus in the afternoon just as it goes Void of Course, which should bring a measure of calm and contentment. All in all, this should be a good day to go about with a lesser burden of worry. It’s a good day for banishing work, exposing impediments and eliminating them.
Saturday, September 27, 2014
Saturday, September 27, 2014, 4 Gamelion, dedicated to Hermes, Aphrodite, Eros, William the Conquer sets sail for England 1066, Jesuit order founded 1540, Champillion announces translation of the Rosetta Stone 1822, fist Model T Ford leaves assembly line 1908, 4th night of the Waxing Moon, in Scorpio, overseen by the 19th Decan, Seuichat, ruled by the Moon, starting in the 17th Mansion of the Moon, Al Iklil/Alichil, good for positive work on plans and situations already in motion, and for establishing new, powerful connections, then moving into the 18th Mansion of the Moon, Al Kalb/Alkab, good for plots and revenge, around 1:00 A.M.
Planetary Hours of the Day begin with Saturn at 6:47 A.M., and last 59.8 minutes. Planetary Hours of the Night commence with Mercury at 6:46 P.M., lasting 60.2 minutes, Sun in Libra, Mercury starts in Libra, then enters Scorpio 6:39 P.M., Venus in Virgo, Mars in Scorpio, Jupiter in Leo, Saturn in Scorpio.
The Moon squares Jupiter mid-afternoon, which, in combination with the influences of the Moon being in the 18th Mansion supports a tendency towards devious and self-serving behavior. Some of this is with a eye towards protecting one’s interests, while otherwise it’s just a matter of self-indulgence. Regardless, it’s a day to be alert and on one’s toes. One’s magickal endeavors will probably be similarly focused on improving one’s personal situation.

Friday, September 26, 2014
Friday, September 26, 2014, 3 Gamelion, dedicated to Athena in the Athenian Calender, in Roman rites to Venus Genetrix, Julius Ceaser dedicates a temple to Venus Genetrix, founding ancestor of his family 46 BCE, Frances Drake completes circumnavigation of the globe 1580, Mecca Shine founded in New York 1872, birthday of St Francis of Assisi 1181, 3rd night of the Waxing Moon, starting in Libra, then going Void of Course from 8:39 A.M. to 12:38 A.M., then entering Scorpio, overseen by the 19th Decan, Seuichat, ruled by the Moon, starting in the 16th Mansion of the Moon, Al Zubana/Azubene, good for dealing with hindrances and reversals, then entering into the 17th Mansion of the Moon, Al Iklil/Alichil, good for positive work on plans and situations already in motion, and for establishing new, powerful connections, around 1:00 A.M.
Planetary Hours of the Day begin with Venus at 6:46 A.M., and last 60.1 minutes. Planetary Hours of the Night commence with Mars at 6:47 P.M., lasting 59.9 minutes, Sun in Libra, Mercury in Libra, Venus in Virgo, Mars in Scorpio, Jupiter in Leo, Saturn in Scorpio.
With the Moon being conjunct Mercury and trine Neptune retrograde, still waters run swift and deep, the gushing forth in fountains. Try to carve out the time to allow your creative instincts to surface; this is a day for creating things by tapping into those reserves. One’s magicks should be employed to allow your desires to manifest, to open channels and clear blockages.
Thursday, September 25, 2014
Thursday, September 25, 2014, 2 Gamelion, dedicated to the Agathos Daimon, Vasco Balboa reaches the Pacific Ocean 1513, Congress proposes the Bill of Rights 1789, 2nd night of the Waxing Moon, in Libra, overseen by the 19th Decan, Seuichat, ruled by the Moon, the whole of the day in the 16th Mansion of the Moon, Al Zubana/Azubene, good for dealing with hindrances and reversals.
Planetary Hours of the Day begin with Jupiter at 6:45 A.M., and last 60.33 minutes. Planetary Hours of the Night commence with the Moon at 6:49 P.M., lasting 59.66 minutes, Sun in Libra, Mercury in Libra, Venus in Virgo, Mars in Scorpio, Jupiter in Leo, Saturn in Scorpio.
Today is influenced by an interesting dance between the Libra Moon, Jupiter and Uranus, with Jupiter sextile the Moon, the Moon in opposition to Uranus, finally Jupiter being trine Uranus. It should be possible to throw some off-center ideas out today, and have them well-received (and hey, they might actually work). The laurels certainly go to those capable of thinking outside of the box, in any event. It should also be possible to let down one’s guard just a bit without any ill-consequences. As for one’s magicks, it’s another good day to clean up the trend lines in complicated situations so one may perceive how to go forward.
Wednesday, September 24, 2014
Wednesday, September 24, 2014, 1 Gamelion, dedicated to one’s Personal Deities in the Athenian calender, Rosh Hashanah begins at Sundown, polygamy ended by the Morman Church 1890, birthday od Emperor Vitellius 17 AD, of Giolamo Cardano 1501, death of Paracelsus 1541, New Moon in Libra, overseen by the 19th Decan, Seuichat, ruled by the Moon, starting in the 14th Mansion (Al Simak); good for promoting love, health, bad for land travel, good for other modes, then passing into the 15th Mansion (Al Ghafar/Algafra); a good time for treasure hunting and sleuthing, causing friction between people, dealing a blow, around 2:00 A.M., finally entering the 16th Mansion of the Moon, Al Zubana/Azubene, good for dealing with hindrances and reversals, around 11:00 P.M.
Planetary Hours of the Day begin with Mercury at 6:44 A.M., and last 60.5 minutes. Planetary Hours of the Night commence with the Sun at 6:51 P.M., lasting 59.5 minutes, Sun in Libra, Mercury in Libra, Venus in Virgo, Mars in Scorpio, Jupiter in Leo, Saturn in Scorpio.
Very well, enough dithering on the sidelines, we should all have new energy and verve today thanks to the Moon being conjunct the Sun and sextile Mars. Not everyone will get off the starting blocks quickly, which will cause some jostling and hurt feelings while under the auspices of the 15th Mansion. Try to utilize one’s magicks for clarity, getting things back on track.
Tuesday, September 23, 2014
Tuesday, September 23, 2014 30 Maimakterion, dedicated to Hekate in the Athenian calender, in Roman rites dedicated to Apollo and Latona (his mother), Lewis and Clark return to St. Louis from their exploration of the Louisiana Purchase territory 1806, Neptune discovered 1846, the start of the “Manhattan Project” 1942, birthday of Euripides 480 BCE, of Agustus Caesar 63 BCE, death of Snorri Sturluson, composer of the Poetic Edda 1241, of Sigmund Freud 1939, 2nd night of the Dark of the Moon, starting in Virgo, then going Void of Course from 8:15 A.M. to 11:58 P.M., then entering Libra, overseen by the 19th Decan, Seuichat, ruled by the Moon, the whole of the day in the 14th Mansion (Al Simak); good for promoting love, health, bad for land travel, good for other modes.
Planetary Hours of the Day begin with Mars at 6:43 A.M., and last 60.8 minutes. Planetary Hours of the Night commence with Saturn at 6:53 P.M., lasting 59.2 minutes, Sun in Libra, Mercury in Libra, Venus in Virgo, Mars in Scorpio, Jupiter in Leo, Saturn in Scorpio.
With most of the day being Void of Course, it can be difficult to develop any strong opinions about how one feels, or what one wishes to do. However the Moon being sextile Saturn and conjunct Venus in the early morning does lay down a foundation, one that supports a calm and easy manner, and an appreciation for the small things; think of Emily Dickenson. It’s a good day to be out and about observing. One’s magicks are best employed in centering and healing.
Seuichat is imaged as a man holding an arrow and a bird, and embodies fairness aand protection.
Monday, September 22, 2014
Monday, September 22, 2014, 29 Maimakterion, dedicated to Hekate, the Autumn Eqinox/Mabon, 1st night of the Dark of the Moon, in Virgo, overseen by the 18th Decan, Afut, ruled by Mercury, the last 8 victims of the Salem Witch craze hanged 1692, birth of Physician Galen 130 A.D., of Michael Faraday 1791, death of Nathan Hale 1776, starting in the 13th Mansion of the Moon, Al Awwa/Alahue, good for aid, comfort, assistance, around 14th Mansion, Al Simak/ Azimech, good for promoting love, health; bad for land travel, good for other modes, around midnight
Planetary Hours of the Day begin with the Moon at 6:42 A.M., and last 61 minutes. Planetary Hours of the Night commence with Venus at 6:54 P.M., lasting 59 minutes, Sun starts in Virgo, enters Libra 10:29 P.M., Mercury in Libra, Venus in Virgo, Mars in Scorpio, Jupiter in Leo, Saturn in Scorpio.
And so, we move into Mabon tonight, carrying the residue of unfulfilled desires generated last night by the Moon being square Mars and in opposition to Neptune. To this is added the Moon being trine Pluto in the morning, which should allow us to express our dissatisfactions. Have a care that the harvest you reap today isn’t one of petty bickering. If you can’t come up with solutions, don’t engage in the argument. At least one’s magicks are strong enough (and supported) to clean things up.
Magically, the equipoise of Libra allows you to focus on clear, precise work, the magical equivalent of a fine set of tweezers being under your control; this is a time for measured acts. The Mansions of the Moon contribute to magical acts that deal more with the personal, things closer to home, rather than at Lammas, when the effects are better achieved for larger groups. It’s also the best time to attempt collecting on debts, both financial and otherwise.
Ritually, the Waning of the year is now setting in; even if the air temperature hasn’t changed, the quality of light has. These are signals that one should be preparing for a change in direction and attitude; time’s a’ wasting! The Sun, “born” at Yule, goes to ground now. Mabon as a name was first popularized by Aiden Kelly. While referred to as the second harvest, this really is a misnomer, as one’s fields would be producing abundantly since Mid-summer, at least; so thinking of it as the second stage of harvest might be more accurate (particularly if you have been staggering your plantings).
This is the proper location to concern oneself with the descent of Persephone into the ground, rather than Samhain; by then, she has already taken on the mantle as Pluto’s consort. Depending on the locality, the main portion of the vineyard would have been brought in by now, not yet turned to wine, but pressed; certainly Dionysus can be honored, as well as Demeter, before she has to go searching for her daughter. If you want to discern a more nuanced distinction between Mabon and Lammas, it could be considered to belong more to the Goddess than the God, who has already been cut down in the grain. The Holly King rules in the stead of the enfeebled Oak.
Many of the symbols we associate with Thanksgiving have their more appropriate setting here, if you need some decorating tips. Frankly, by the time the third week of November has rolled around, we’ve passed though Samhain, and you shouldn’t be out on a scavenger hunt for these tokens then, they would lack potency. And so the wheel goes ‘round.
Friday, September 19, 2014
Friday, September 19, 2014, 26 Maimakterion, no particular dedication, birthday of Emperor Antonius Pius 86 A.D., death of President Garfield from assassination attempt 1881, 10th night of the Waning Moon, in Leo, overseen by the 18th Decan, Afut, ruled by Mercury, starting in the 10th Mansion of the Moon, Al Jabhah/Algebhah good for love and friendship, thwarting criminal activities and evil intentions, then entering the 11th Mansion of the Moon, Al Zubrah/Azobra, which is good for reversing negative opinions and judgments, around 3:00 P.M.
Planetary Hours of the Day begin with Venus at 6:40 A.M., and last 61.6 minutes. Planetary Hours of the Night commence with Mars at 6:59 P.M., lasting 58.4 minutes, Sun in Virgo, Mercury in Libra, Venus in Virgo, Mars in Scorpio, Jupiter in Leo, Saturn in Scorpio.
Well, the fog of the last few days should have cleared by 7:00 A.M., as the major event is the Moon being trine Mars. We should all feel full of vim and vigor, and can accomplish much. I feel like Teddy Roosevelt myself, and so should you. Magickally, a day for most positive work. Bully!
Thursday, September 18, 2014
Thursday, September 18, 2014, 25 Maimakterion, no particular dedication, assassination of Emperor Domitian, he being succeded by Nerva 96 AD, cornerstone of Capitol laid by Brother George Washington 1793, birthday of Emperor Trajan 53 AD, 9th night of the Waning Moon, starting in Cancer, then going Void of Course from 2:38 P.M. through 11:10 P.M., then entering Leo, overseen by the 18th Decan, Afut, ruled by Mercury, starting in the 9th Mansion of the Moon Al Tarf/ Atarf, good for baneful and destructive forms of magic, then entering the 10th Mansion of the Moon, Al Jabhah/Algebhah good for love and friendship, thwarting criminal activities and evil intentions, around 1:00 P.M.
Planetary Hours of the Day begin with Jupiter at 6:39 A.M., and last 61.8 minutes. Planetary Hours of the Night commence with the Moon at 7:01 P.M., lasting 58.2 minutes, Sun in Virgo, Mercury in Libra, Venus in Virgo, Mars in Scorpio, Jupiter in Leo, Saturn in Scorpio.
It is possible to take things a bit too seriously today, but at least this allows for some constructive forward movement. The tone for the day is set by the Moon being trine Saturn early in the morning, which sets order and a clear path. This is not all that conforting, but rather more confining, and the Moon squaring Mercury just makes things more tense. Fortunately, the mental tumult of the morning can be smoothed out in the afternoon, with the Moon being sextile the Sun, allowing the rest of the day to fall into it’s proper perspective, so, whatever your endeavors, just try to get through the bumpy start of the day, and enjoy your successes after lunchtime. This holds true for one’s magickal endeavors as well, the tend lines of what you wish to engage in should be clearer starting with the Moon’s move into the 10th Mansion.
Wednesday, September 17, 2014
Wednesday, September 17, 2014, 24 Miamakterion, no particular dedication, destruction of the Library of Alexandria 642 AD, Anton van Leeuwenhoek discovers bacteria with his microscope 1683, adoption of the Constitution be the Philadephia congress 1787, “Bewitched” debuts on ABC 1964, death of Hildegard of Bingen 1179, 8th night of the Waning Moon, in Cancer, overseen by the 18th Decan, Afut, ruled by Mercury, starting in the 8th Mansion of the Moon, Al Nathra/Ahaathra, governing positive aspects of love and happiness, but not advantageous in legal matters, then entering the 9th Mansion of the Moon Al Tarf/ Atarf, a time for baneful and destructive forms of magic, around 9:00 P.M.
Planetary Hours of the Day begin with Mercury at 6:38 A.M., and last 62.1 minutes. Planetary Hours of the Night commence with the Sun at 7:03 P.M., lasting 57.9 minutes, Sun in Virgo, Mercury in Libra, Venus in Virgo, Mars in Scorpio, Jupiter in Leo, Saturn in Scorpio.
The benevolent aspects of the Moon being sextile Venus are bracketed today by ill-aspected outer planets, the Moon being in opposition to Pluto retrograde in the morning, and square Uranus retrograde late afternoon. This mixture can lead to oneself or others being way too confident that they know what’s best for others, and being rather insistent about it. Have a caution about expressing opinion as irrefutable fact. Magickally, the influence of the 9th mansion late in the evening can lend power to making things conform to one’s will, but this can cause unforeseen consequences.

Tuesday, September 16, 2014
Tuesday, September 16, 2014, 23 Maimakterion, no particular dedication, Roald Amunden reaches the South Pole 1906, birthday of Hildegard of Bingen 1098, death of Torquemada 1498, 7th night of the Waning Moon, starting Void of Course in Gemini, then entering Cancer 11:24 A.M., overseen by the 18th Decan, Afut, ruled by Mercury, starting in the 7th Mansion of the Moon, Al Dhira/Aldirah, good for success when contending against authority figures, good for acts promoting gain, love, comfort, then entering the 8th Mansion of the Moon, Al Nathra/Ahaathra, governing positive aspects of love and happiness, around 11:24 A.M.
Planetary Hours of the Day begin with Mars at 6:37 A.M., and last 62.25 minutes. Planetary Hours of the Night commence with Saturn at 7:04 P.M., lasting 57.75 minutes, Sun in Virgo, Mercury in Libra, Venus in Virgo, Mars in Scorpio, Jupiter in Leo, Saturn in Scorpio.
The same influences that dominated yesterday apply today, in that we are compelled to be our own advocates. However, the lunar shift into Cancer (and the 8th Mansion), allow this to be accomplished with more subtlety and less assertiveness. It does help that it is easier to truly see what others are doing today, observational senses being sharper. As we move into the evening, the Cancer Moon being trine Neptune retrograde can lead to unexpected intuitions and insights. Magickally, the evening is ideal for divination and seeing far.
Monday, September 15, 2014
Monday, September 15, 2014, 22 Maimakterion, no particular dedication, Mayflower leaves from England 1620, first flight by Wilbur Wright 1904, ownership of Stonehenge passes to the British government 1918, birthday of Marco Polo 1254, 6th night of the Waning Moon (Last Quarter), in Gemini, going Void of Course from 10:05 P.M. through the rest of the evening, starting in the 6th Mansion of the Moon Al Han’ah/Athaya, good for stirring things up, promoting cruel and destructive acts, agricultural disasters, then entering the 7th Mansion of the Moon, Al Dhira/Aldirah, good for success when contending against authority figures, and for acts promoting gain, love, comfort, around 9:15 A.M.
Planetary Hours of the Day begin with the Moon at 6:36 A.M., and last 62.50 minutes. Planetary Hours of the Night commence with Venus at 7:06 P.M., lasting 57.50 minutes, Sun in Virgo, Mercury in Libra, Venus in Virgo, Mars in Scorpio, Jupiter in Leo, Saturn in Scorpio.
Today is the sort of day where you might feel compelled to make the case for occupying the position that you currently do, or better yet, to receive the respect your abilities deserve. The emotional tides of a Last Quarter Moon combine with the Moon also being square Venus to bring a certain discontent as to how we are perceived, while it being sextile Mercury and trine Jupiter enforces the need to speak out and do something. While most of us would rather not to have to toot our own horn, but today is a day when it might be beneficial. You ought to be able to utilize your magicks to aid you in this pursuit for respect.
Sunday, September 14, 2014
Sunday, September 14, 2014, 21 Maimakterion, dedicated to Zeus Melichios (his snake form as a chthonic deity), invoked in a purification rite, whose main ingredients were a white sheepskin accompanied by a caduceus being walked in procession (thus the name for this rite, the Pompaia). Philip IV of France produces order to assest all Templars 1306, birthday of Cornelius Agrippa 1486, 6th night of the Waning Moon, starting Void of Course in Taurus, then entering Gemini 2:27 A.M., overseen by the 18th Decan, Afut, ruled by Mercury, starting in the 5th Mansion of the Moon Al Haq’a/Almices, good for healing, building, children, the return of lost things, then entering the 6th Mansion of the Moon, Al Han’ah/Athaya, a day for stirring things up, promoting cruel and destructive acts, agricultural disasters, around 10:30 A.M.
Planetary Hours of the Day begin with the Sun at 6:35 A.M., and last 62.75 minutes. Planetary Hours of the Night commence with Jupiter at 7:08 P.M., lasting 57.25 minutes, Sun in Virgo, Mercury in Libra, Venus in Virgo, Mars in Scorpio, Jupiter in Leo, Saturn in Scorpio.
Try to take it slow today. With the Moon is in opposition to Mars early morning, opportunities abound for minor accidents and the like, while the Moon being square Neptune retrograde in the afternoon gives one the impression that any idea that pops into one’s head is a good one to act on. Stay safe. Magickally, put out your protections, but if so inclined, today is a good day for you if you’re up to causing mischief, with the assistance of the Moon in the 6th Mansion.
Friday, September 12, 2014
Friday, September 12, 2014, 19 Maimakterion, no particular dedication, Messier begins his catalog of astronomical objects 1758, the paintings in Lascaux caves discovered 1940, birthday of Henry Hudson 1575, 4th night of the Waning Moon, in Taurus, first overseen by the 17th Decan, Ophicus, ruled by Venus, the rule shifting to the 18th Decan, Afut, ruled by Mercury, starting in the 3rd Mansion of the Moon, Al Thurayya/Alzoraya, good for career support, general good luck, and to help or hinder judicial matters, moving the 4th Mansion of the Moon, Al Deberan / Aldeberan, good for playing the margins, shaking things up, around 11:00 A.M.
Planetary Hours of the Day begin with Venus at 6:33 A.M., and last 63.1 minutes. Planetary Hours of the Night commence with Mars at 7:11 P.M., lasting 56.9 minutes, Sun in Virgo, Mercury in Libra, Venus in Virgo, Mars in Scorpio, Jupiter in Leo, Saturn in Scorpio.
Today possesses the potential to express a certain mental acuity, encouraged by the Moon being sextile Neptune retrograde and trine Venus. I see gatherings and gregariousness breaking out (so yes, it’s a good day to be sociable). This can, in the evening, shade into certain over exuberance, thanks to the Moon squaring Jupiter just before 8:00 P.M. this may lead to making promises that, in the morning, you may find difficult to honor. But still, a swell time should be had by all. It’s a good day for attraction spells, but be careful about what or who you draw towards you, and be cautious about how closely they are bound in.
The ruler of the 18th Decan, Afut, is generally pictured as bound man, or one leaning on a staff, accompanied by a woman holding a sacrificial black fawn, who oversees the dissolution of things.

This aspect, combinded with the Moon in the 3rd Mansion, ought to make this a successful day for business endeavors. You should be able to utilize your magicks to clear some obstacles in your professional life today.

Wednesday, September 10, 2014, 17 Maimakterion, no particular dedication, birthday of Marte Laveau 1801, Carl Weschcke 1930, of Steven Jay Gould 1941, assassination of Empress Elizabeth of Austria 1898, 2nd night of the Waning Moon, in Aries, going Void of Course 8:58 P.M., overseen by the 17th Decan, Ophicus, ruled by Venus, starting in the 1st Mansion of the Moon, Al Sharatain/Alnath, which is good for dealing with complex systems, regulations, technical matters, then entering the 2nd Mansion of the Moon, Al Botein/Alboitan, good for finding treasure, capturing things, exciting situations, achieving things, around 5:00 P.M.

We may all find it a bit too easy to forgive less than stellar behavior in others today, thanks to Venus being in opposition to Neptune retrograde this morning. This forgiving nature blends well with Jupiter being sextile Mercury and trine the Moon, supporting our desire to be seen in the best possible light, and to be esteemed. Don’t mistake tolerance for allowing yourself to be a doormat however. Use one’s magicks to shake the bag of possibilities, and see what emerges.

Tuesday, September 09, 2014, 16 Maimakterion, no particular dedication, Mary Stuart crowned Queen of Scotland at 9 months 1543, first “computer bug” discovered “a moth trapped in a relay) 1945, death of William the Conquerer 1087, 1st night of the Waning Moon, starting in Pisces, then going Void of Course from 3:09 P.M. to &:32 P.M., then entering Aries, starting in the 28th Mansion of the Moon Al Risha Batn/Arrexhe, good for increase, travel, love, bad for cherished things, then entering the around 1st Mansion of the Moon, Al Sharatain/Alnath, which is good for dealing with complex systems, regulations, technical matters, around 7:33 P.M.

And today, we just go back to working hard, and perhaps moving forward, thanks to the Moon being trine Saturn and Mars. It’s all about taking care of business (which doesn’t mean you have to be the bank manager in “Mary Poppins”. However, probity goes further than being the class cut-up. One’s magicks are best employed to get things back on track.

Monday, September 08, 2014, 15 Maimakterion, dedicated to Hekate, Theosophical Society formed 1875, birthday of Richard the Lion-hearted 1157, Full Moon (Harvest Moon) in Pisces, overseen by the 17th Decan, Ophicus, ruled by Venus, starting in the 26th Mansion Al Mukdim/Almiquedam, good for love and health, liberation, then entering the 27th Mansion of the Moon Al Mu’hir/Algorf, good for material gain, health, overcoming enemies, and aid to the desperate, around 6:30 A.M.
Planetary Hours of the Day begin with the Moon at 6:29 A.M., and last 64.1 minutes. Planetary Hours of the Night commence with Venus at 7:18 P.M., lasting 55.9 minutes, Sun in Virgo, Mercury in Libra, Venus in Virgo, Mars in Scorpio, Jupiter in Leo, Saturn in Scorpio.
This day has the potential to be quite moody; starting with a Moon being in opposition to Venus can set one up for disappointments, and this combines with the Moon/Sun opposition of the Full Moon to make for an unstable day emotionally. One can also experience some bouts of manic behavior. Try your best to be not too hot, nor too cold. If you can moderate your emotional climate, this is a good day for most any positive magickal work, thanks to the Moon being in the 27th Mansion.
Sunday, September 7, 2014
Sunday, September 07, 2014, 14 Maimakterion, no particular dedication, Roman army under Titus sacks Jerusalem 70 AD, birthday of Queen Elizabeth I 1533, 14th night of the Waxing Moon, overseen by the 17th Decan, Ophicus, ruled by Venus, starting in Aquarius, then going Void of Course from 1:19 P.M. to 7:46 P.M., then entering Pisces, starting in the 25th Mansion of the Moon, Al Alibiya/Caadulhachbia, good for hindering the activities of others, revenge, then entering the 26th Mansion Al Mukdim/Almiquedam, good for love and health, liberation, around 11:00 A.M.
Planetary Hours of the Day begin with the Sun at 6:28 A.M., and last 64.33 minutes. Planetary Hours of the Night commence with Jupiter at 7:20 P.M., lasting 55.66 minutes, Sun in Virgo, Mercury in Libra, Venus in Virgo, Mars in Scorpio, Jupiter in Leo, Saturn in Scorpio.
This should prove to be a tough day to get anything accomplished. The Moon is square Saturn starting a bit after 1:00 A.M., and is joined by the Moon being square Mars just as the Moon goes Void of Course in the afternoon. Just think of it as a warning that we’re all working on a low battery. The most satisfying path through the day would probably be to simply kick back and keep things simple, let ambition take a holiday. On the bright side, spending the day under the auspices of the 26th Mansion allow one to to some magickal work to aid the unwell, and for preservation.

Planetary Hours of the Day begin with Saturn at 6:27 A.M., and last 64.5 minutes. Planetary Hours of the Night commence with Mercury at 7:21 P.M., lasting 55.5 minutes, Sun in Virgo, Mercury in Libra, Venus in Virgo, Mars in Scorpio, Jupiter in Leo, Saturn in Scorpio.
A day for sharp minds, perhaps a bit too sharpas your thoughts may race farther than ability to act on them, and so, you may find yourself commiting to things you can’t get accomplished. This is courtesy of the Moon being trine Mercury while in opposition to Jupiter.Magickally, a day to deal with slights and impediments, but don’y employ a mallet when tweezers will do.

Well, if you planned and strategized yesterday, today is one for implementation. The Moon being sextile Saturn and Mars makes us all into productive citizens today, if you accept the challenge. One’s magick should se similarly focused on removing barriers, and getting things down. Break up the logjam!

Thursday, September 04, 2014, 11 Maimakterion, no particular dedication, Romulus Augustulus, last Roman Emperor, is diposed 476 AD, Henry Hudson sights Manhattan Island 1609, Edmund Halley observes comet (now know as Halley’s comet) 1682, founding of Los Angeles 1781, birth of Mary Renault 1905, 11th night of the Waxing Moon, in Capricorn, overseen by the 17th Decan, Ophicus, ruled by Venus, starting in the 22nd Mansion Sa’d da’bih/Caadaldepa, good for health, liberation, around 1:30 A.M, finally entering the the 23rd Mansion of the Moon, Sa’d Bula/Caaddebolach, also good for health, freedom, around 3:00 P.M.
Planetary Hours of the Day begin with Jupiter at 6:25 A.M., and last 65 minutes. Planetary Hours of the Night commence with the Moon at 7:25 P.M., lasting 55 minutes, Sun in Virgo, Mercury in Libra, Venus in Leo, Mars in Scorpio, Jupiter in Leo, Saturn in Scorpio.
This will likely turn into one of those days when the mind races between tasks, trying to come up with answers and strategies. Frankly, an overactive mind is exhausting, but there we have it. Some good should come of this confluence of the Capricorn Moon being conjunct Pluto, sextile Neptune, and square Uranus (all of which are retrograde). As all this nervous contemplation is under the auspices of the Moon also being trine the Sun, it should be possible to come up with some good plans. One’s magicks should be best employed on matters of security, protecting one’s position and assets.

Wednesday, September 03, 2014, 10 Maimakterion, 10th night of the Waxing Moon, starting in Sagittarius, then going Void of Course from 2:06 P.M. to 6:14 P.M., then entering Capricorn, no particular dedication, death of Oliver Cromwell 1658, overseen by the 17th Decan, Ophicus, ruled by Venus, starting in the 21st Mansion of the Moon, Al Bal’dah/ Elbelda, good for acquiring material possessions, then entering the 22nd Mansion Sa’d da’bih/Caadaldepa, good for health, liberation, around 7:15 P.M.
Planetary Hours of the Day begin with Mercury at 6:24 A.M., and last 65.1 minutes. Planetary Hours of the Night commence with the Sun at 7:26 P.M., lasting 54.9 minutes, Sun in Virgo, Mercury in Libra, Venus in Leo, Mars in Scorpio, Jupiter in Leo, Saturn in Scorpio.
After the difficult passage of the last few days, isn’t nice that today holds nothing more terrifying than incessant chatter and warm feelings? Anyway, Venus in Leo is trine Venus, which should dissipate tensions both at home and the workplace. As the Moon moves into Capricorn, it squares Mercury, which can lead to oversharing and rambling soliloquies, an effect which will carry into tomorrow. All in all, let’s count this as a win. It’s also safe to take out your magickal toolbox, and for us to resume healing damage done by others.
Tuesday, September 2, 2014
Tuesday, September 02, 2014, 9 Maimakterion, no particular dedication, 9th night of the Waxing Moon, in Sagittarius, end of the Roman republic with the Battle of Actium, Octavian defeating the forces of Mark Anthony and Cleopatra 31 BCE, Greta Fire of London begins 1666, The Colonies and Great Britian switch from the Julian to Georgian calender 1752, death of Pheidippides, who ran to Athens from Marathon to announce Greek victory 490 BCE, first overseen by the 16th Decan, Thurmis, ruled by the Sun, the oversight then passing to the 17th Decan, Ophicus, ruled by Venus around 8:30 A.M., starting in the 20th Mansion, Al Nalaim/Nahaym, good for compulsion, underhanded dealings, good for travel, then entering the 21st Mansion of the Moon, Al Bal’dah/ Elbelda, good for acquiring material possessions, around 9:00 P.M.
Planetary Hours of the Day begin with Mars at 6:23 A.M., and last 65.4 minutes. Planetary Hours of the Night commence with Saturn at 7:28 P.M., lasting 54.6 minutes, Sun in Virgo, Mercury starts in Virgo, then enters Libra 1:38 A.M., Venus in Leo, Mars in Scorpio, Jupiter in Leo, Saturn in Scorpio.
Another unsettled day, as the 1st quarter can be; the Moon being square Neptune retrograde and the Sun early in the morning generates dissatisfaction. While you can see a clear path to one’s goals, things seem to not fall into place to achieve them. This makes it hard to see what positive things are occurring today under the auspices of the Moon being trine Jupiter. Try to hold it together, despite not achieving your heart’s desire. Unless you can settle your mind, this is not a great day for magical work, as desire might cause you to blunder; otherwise there is a great temptation to manipulate the actions of others.
This Decan is represented by two male figures, one clad in hides, the other iron; they embody striving, work, acquisition.
Monday, September 1, 2014
Monday, September 01, 2014, 8 Maimakterion, dedicated to Poseidon in the Athenian Calender, in Roman rites dedicated to Jupiter the Thunderer and Juno the Queen, death of Louis XIV 1715, 8th night of the Waxing Moon, starting in Scorpio, then going Voif of Course from 11:40 A.M. to 1:13 P.M., then entering Sagittarius, overseen by the 16th Decan, Thurmis, ruled by the Sun, starting in the 19th Mansion, Al Shaulah/ Exaula, good for all defensive and aggressive work, then entering the 20th Mansion, Al Nalaim/Nahaym, good for compulsion, underhanded dealings, good for travel, around 7 P.M.
Planetary Hours of the Day begin with the Moon at 6:22 A.M., and last 65.6 minutes. Planetary Hours of the Night commence with Venus at 7:29 P.M., lasting 54.4 minutes, Sun in Virgo, Mercury in Virgo, Venus in Leo, Mars in Scorpio, Jupiter in Leo, Saturn in Scorpio.
Well, it will be difficult to make this a good day. The Moon is square Venus and sextile Mercury in the morning, which just stirs up discontent and empowers one to really voice one’s opinions on how one has been slighted. So, petulance and hard feelings rule the day, just a perfect combination for Labor Day gatherings. One’s magickal workings can seem equally as curdled today; I would advise just laying low.
