Saturday, July 5, 2014, 9 Boedromion, no particular dedication in the Athenian Calendar, in Roman rites the day of the Popilfugia, commemorating the evacuation of Rome after an invasion, publication of Isaac Newtons “Principia”, invention of the transistor by William Shockley 1951, birthday of Phineas Barnum 1810, 9th night of the Waxing Moon (1st Quarter), in Libra, start in the 15th Mansion (Al Ghafar/Algafra); a good day for treasure hunting and sleuthing, causing friction between people, dealing a blow, entering the 16th Mansion, Al Zubana/Azubene, good for dealing with hindrances and reversals, around 9:00 A.M. Planetary Hours of the Day begin with Saturn at 5:30 A.M., and last 75 minutes. Planetary Hours of the Night commence with Mercury at 8:30 P.M., lasting 45 minutes, Sun in Cancer, Mercury in Gemini, Venus in Gemini, Mars in Libra, Jupiter in Cancer, Saturn retrograde Scorpio. A difficult day to sort out one’s motivations, or to communicate exactly what you might wish to get across. The usual 1st Quarter frustrations are in place, with the Sun/Moon square causing anxiety. This combines with the Moon being in opposition to Uranus, making an orderly thought process more difficult to maintain. Finally, a surfeit of concern can well up with the Moon being trine Venus while it occludes Mars. All this can lead to triggering over-protective behavior, to seeing dangers where none exist (like not allowing butter knives to be used, they’re so dangerous). Try to not over-react. Magically, a day for protective work, with the caveat that you can really overdo it, and you might hurt yourself
