Thursday, July 31, 2014, 6 Pyanopsion, dedicated to Artemis, death of Denis Diderot 1784, purported date of the Witches of England raising a cone of power against a Nazi invasion of England 1940, 6th night of the Waxing Moon, starting in Virgo, then going Void of Course from 10:48 A.M. to 12:08 P.M., then entering Libra, starting in the 14th Mansion (Al Simak); good for promoting love, health, bad for land travel, good for other modes, then passing into the 15th Mansion (Al Ghafar/Algafra); a good time for treasure hunting and sleuthing, causing friction between people, dealing a blow, just after 2:00 P.M.
Planetary Hours of the Day begin with Jupiter at 5:50 A.M., and last 71.9 minutes. Planetary Hours of the Night commence with the Sun at 8:13 P.M., lasting 48.1 minutes, Sun in Leo, Mercury starts in Cancer, then moves into Leo 6:46 P.M. Venus in Cancer, Mars in Scorpio, Jupiter in Leo, Saturn in Scorpio.
Today’s another go get ‘em day, the influences are the Moon being sextile Mercury in Virgo, and Jupiter being sextile the Moon in Libra. This should be a good day in regards to one’s workplace position; credit should accrue to you. One’s magicks may be used to burnish one’s reputation and/or to subvert those trying to hold you back.
Wednesday, July 30, 2014
Wednesday, July 30, 2014, 5 Pyanopsion, no particular dedication in the Athenian Calendar, in Roman rites dedicated to the Fortune of this day, Infallibility of the Pope proclaimed by the 1st Vatican Council 1870, birthday of Madame Blavatsky 1831, death of William Penn 1718, 5th night of the Waxing Moon, in Virgo, overseen by the 13th Decan, Craumonis, ruled by the Sun, starting in the 13th Mansion of the Moon, Al Awwa/Alahue, good for aid, comfort, assistance, 14th Mansion, Al Simak/ Azimech, good for promoting love, health; bad for land travel, good for other modes, around 11:00 A.M.
Planetary Hours of the Day begin with Mars at 5:49 A.M., and last 72 minutes. Planetary Hours of the Night commence with Saturn at 8:14 P.M., lasting 48 minutes, Sun in Leo, Mercury in Cancer, Venus in Cancer, Mars in Scorpio, Jupiter in Leo, Saturn in Scorpio.
Well, this should be a simple, easy day, compared to the last few days. Today we have a Virgo Moon sextile Venus and Saturn, which should turn us all into happy, busy bees, doing for each other with a light heart. One’s magicks may be employed towards achieving the same goals.
Tuesday, July 29, 2014
Tuesday, July 29, 2014, 4 Pyanopsion, dedicated to Hermes, Aphrodite, Eros, 4th night of the Waxing Moon, in Virgo, overseen by the 13th Decan, Craumonis, ruled by the Sun, starting in the 12th Mansion of the Moon, Al Sarfah/Acarfal, good for friendship and charitable acts, around 1:00 A.M., finally entering the 13th Mansion of the Moon, Al Awwa/Alahue, good for aid, comfort, assistance, around 7:00 A.M. sinking of the Spanish Armada 1588, birthday of Alexis de Tocqueville 1805, death by hanging of Agnes Waterhouse, one of the Chelmsfod Witches 1566.
Planetary Hours of the Day begin with Mars at 5:49 A.M., and last 72.1 minutes. Planetary Hours of the Night commence with Saturn at 8:15 P.M., lasting 47.9 minutes, Sun in Leo, Mercury in Cancer, Venus in Cancer, Mars in Scorpio, Jupiter in Leo, Saturn in Scorpio.
Well, everyone seems to have managed yesterday fairly well, keeping the inner control freak in check. Let’s see if we can make it two in a row. Today offers the go and do it energy of the Virgo Moon being sextile Mars while being in opposition to Neptune retrograde early in the afternoon. This confluence makes this an ideal day to act on one’s impulses, which can be a good thing, but Neptune being as it is, this can result in going forward with some harebrained schemes. Deciding to go forward with one’s plans to market a hand knitted cozy for ice cream cones is not a good idea, people. By all means, keep up the good work, but let it amount to something. At least one’s magicks can be put to most any positive work.
Monday, July 28, 2014
Monday, July 28, 2014, 3 Pyanopsion, dedicated to Athena, 3rd night of the Waxing Moon, starting Void of Course in Leo, then entering Virgo 11:37 P.M., overseen by the 13th Decan, Craumonis, ruled by the Sun, Sir Thomas Harriot introduces the potato to England 1586, Rospierre and other leaders of “the Terror” are guillotined 1794, start of WW I 1914, starting in the 11th Mansion of the Moon, Al Zubrah/Azobra, which is good for reversing negative opinions and judgments, then entering the 12th Mansion of the Moon, Al Sarfah/Acarfal, good for friendship and charitable acts, around 1:00 P.M.
Planetary Hours of the Day begin with the Moon at 5:48 A.M., and last 72.33 minutes. Planetary Hours of the Night commence with Venus at 8:16 P.M., lasting 47.66 minutes, Sun in Leo, Mercury in Cancer, Venus in Cancer, Mars in Scorpio, Jupiter in Leo, Saturn in Scorpio.
This is a somewhat tricky day to navigate, being Void of Course most of the day. The Moon’s movement from the 11th to 12th House is beneficent enough, and should be enough to to provide a powerful, positive dynamic passage through the day. However, Venus is in opposition to Pluto early in the day (2:37 A.M.). This configuration can turn one into the scary, control freak lover/spouse. Relationships can embody a tug of wills over who is in control. I would humbly suggest using one’s magics towards dimishing this effect, reining in the lizard brain.
Sunday, July 27, 2014
Sunday, July 27,2017, 2 Pyanopsion, dedicated to the Agathos Daimon, 2nd night of the Waxing Moon, in Leo, going Void of Course from 8:38 P.M. through the rest of the night, Sir Walter Raleigh introduces tobacco to England 1586, Jennet Preston, of the Malkin Towr Witches is hung 1612, overseen by the 13th Decan, Craumonis, ruled by the Sun, starting in the 10th Mansion of the Moon, Al Jabhah/Algebhah good for love and friendship, thwarting criminal activities and evil intentions, then entering the 11th Mansion of the Moon, Al Zubrah/Azobra, which is good for reversing negative opinions and judgments, around 2:00 A.M.
Planetary Hours of the Day begin with the Sun at 5:47 A.M., and last 72.50 minutes. Planetary Hours of the Night commence with Jupiter at 8:17 P.M., lasting 47.50 minutes, Sun in Leo, Mercury in Cancer, Venus in Cancer, Mars in Scorpio, Jupiter in Leo, Saturn in Scorpio.
Just a tough day to get anything completed, while the day starts as a continuation of yesterday, the evening proves disappointing. As the Moon goes Void of Course for the evening, is squares Saturn, leaving us all dissatisfied whith the day’s course of events. It could be worse, so try to focus on the fact that the emotional letdown is not based in fact. At least you can utilize the beneficial effects of the 12th Lunar mansion as a magickal corrective.
Saturday, July 26, 2014
Saturday, July 26, 2014, 1 Pyanopsion, dedicated to one’s personal Deities, night of the New Moon, the day starting Void of Course in Cancer, then entering Leo 10:55 A.M., confession of the Chlemsfod Witches 1566, overseen by the 13th Decan, Craumonis, ruled by the Sun, starting in the 9th Mansion of the Moon Al Tarf/ Atarf, good for baneful and destructive forms of magic, then entering the 10th Mansion of the Moon, Al Jabhah/Algebhah good for love and friendship, thwarting criminal activities and evil intentions, around 1:00 A.M.
Planetary Hours of the Day begin with Saturn at 5:46 A.M., and last 72.66 minutes. Planetary Hours of the Night commence with Mercury at 8:18 P.M., lasting 47.33 minutes, Sun in Leo, Mercury in Cancer, Venus in Cancer, Mars in Scorpio, Jupiter in Leo, Saturn in Scorpio.
A peculiar joy falls over today, what with it being a New Moon; the Sun Moon is conjunct Jupiter and the Sun, which brings high spirits and camaraderie. This is a fine reward for getting through the morning, in which the Moon is square Mars, which can lead to certain feelings of depression, and make us all a bit snippy. The ideal thing is to sleep in, and present the better you in the afternoon. It’s a great Newe Moon for most any positive work.
Friday, July 25, 2014
Friday, July 25, 2014, 29/30 Boedromion, dedicated to Hekate in the Athenian Calendar, in Roman rites dedicated to an obscure water deity Furrina, Constantine declared Emperor 306 AD, James IV of Scotland is crowned as James I in England, uniting the two crowns 1603, 2nd night of the Dark of the Moon, starting in Cancer, then going Void of Course from 9:53 A.M. through the rest of the day, overseen by the 13th Decan, Craumonis, ruled by the Sun, the whole of the day in the 9th Mansion of the Moon Al Tarf/ Atarf, good for baneful and destructive forms of magic.
Planetary Hours of the Day begin with Venus at 5:45 A.M., and last 72.8 minutes. Planetary Hours of the Night commence with Mars at 8:19 P.M., lasting 47.2 minutes, Sun in Leo, Mercury in Cancer, Venus in Cancer, Mars starts in Libra, then moves into Scorpio 10:25 P.M. Jupiter in Leo, Saturn in Scorpio.
The tendency of the day is to channel our activities into considering the nuts and bolts, the minutiae. Nose to the grindstone people, and pay attention to the little things. This is provoked by the Moon being trine Saturn, in combination with is being conjunct Mercury. Expect to give and receive detailed instructions, some of which may seem odd, as the morning starts out with the Moon being square Uranus retrograde, which can lead to one’s personal obsessions coming to the fore (though not as badly as Captain Queeg’s with the Strawberries). This tendency can carry over into one’s magickal workings, making lists and evening scores, going for what you think is yours, right or wrong. You may want to back-pedal a bit on this score.
Thursday, July 24, 2014
Thursday, July 24, 2014, 28 Boedromion, dedicated to Hekate, Jacques Cartier lands in Canada 1534, birthday of Simon Bolivar 1783, 1st night of the Dark of the Moon, in Cancer, overseen by the 13th Decan, Craumonis, ruled by the Sun starting in the 8th Mansion of the Moon, Al Nathra/Ahaathra, governing positive aspects of love and happiness, but not advantageous in legal matters, then entering the 9th Mansion of the Moon Al Tarf/ Atarf, a time for baneful and destructive forms of magic, around 11:00 P.M.
Planetary Hours of the Day begin with Jupiter at 5:43 A.M., and last 73.1 minutes. Planetary Hours of the Night commence with the Moon at 8:21 P.M., lasting 46.9 minutes, Sun in Leo, Mercury in Cancer, Venus in Cancer, Mars in Libra, Jupiter in Leo, Saturn in Scorpio.
Today is a day that practically demands one to face the difficulties that have been piling up. Venus and Mercury are trine Neptune retrograde, which sets the wheels of the mind spinning. While the Sun being conjunct Jupiter ought to bring an honorable aboveboard solution, Mercury being square Uranus retrograde and trine Saturn compel one to consider less savory options, while the move into the 9th Mansion practically demands it. So, this is a day when the sort of plotting in a Hitchcock movie (think “Strangers on a Train”) seems to occupy our minds. I would caution us all to not act on these somewhat twisted reveries. Magickally, things turn on a dime as well, the majority of the day lending itself to workings without concern for the consequences. Have a care, quite a bit of power is floating around tonight, more than you might comfortably handle.
Wednesday, July 23, 2014
Wednesday, July 23, 2014, 27 Boedromion, dedicated to Hemes, Gaia and Athena in the Athenian calendar, in Roman rites dedicated to Neptune, the day of the Neptunalia, 11th night of the Waning Moon, starting in Gemini, then going Void of Course from 8:53 P.M. to 10:58 P.M., then entering Cancer, overseen by the 13th Decan, Craumonis, ruled by the Sun, starting in the 7th Mansion of the Moon, Al Dhira/Aldirah, good for success when contending against authority figures, good for acts promoting gain, love, comfort, then entering the 8th Mansion of the Moon, Al Nathra/Ahaathra, governing positive aspects of love and happiness, just before 11:00 P.M.
Planetary Hours of the Day begin with Mercury at 5:42 A.M., and last 73.33 minutes. Planetary Hours of the Night commence with the Sun at 8:22 P.M., lasting 46.66 minutes, Sun in Leo, Mercury in Cancer, Venus in Cancer, Mars in Libra, Jupiter in Leo, Saturn in Scorpio.
Today the lauel wreath goes to the most energetic among us; this should be a hotly contested award, as the dominant force today is the Moon being trine Mars, and so, it’s all about stamina and enterprise. One’s magicks should be brought to the fore, and applied to most any positive work.
Tuesday, July 22, 2014
Tuesday, July 22, 2014, 26 Boedromion, no particular dedication in the Athenian calendar, in Roman rites dedicated to Concordia, Northhampton Witchs condemmed 1612, first modern sighting of the Loch Ness monster 1930, 10th night of the Waning Moon, in Gemini, the Day first overseen by the 12th Decan, Thiumis, ruled by the Moon, then moving to the 13th Decan, Craumonis, ruled by the Sun,commencing when the Sun hits zero degrees Leo,the day starting in the 6th Mansion of the Moon Al Han’ah/Athaya, good for stirring things up, promoting cruel and destructive acts, agricultural disasters, then entering the 7th Mansion of the Moon, Al Dhira/Aldirah, good for success when contending against authority figures, and for acts promoting gain, love, comfort, around 9:00 P.M.
Planetary Hours of the Day begin with Mars at 5:42 A.M., and last 73.33 minutes. Planetary Hours of the Night commence with Saturn at 8:22 P.M., lasting 46.66 minutes, Sun starts in Cancer, then enters Leo 5:41 P.M., Mercury in Cancer, Venus in Cancer, Mars in Libra, Jupiter in Leo, Saturn in Scorpio.
Well, this day could be quite transformative; the three outer planets are now retrograde the Sun; in the early morning, the Moon is square Neptune and Mercury is in opposition to Pluto, while the Moon is sextile Uranus in the evening. This confluence allows for great psychic insights, and the unlocking of great potential, but can easily lead one down the wrong path (that being one of self-deception). Just because you feel like ruler of the Cosmos doesn’t mean ya are, Blanche. However, if you stick to more exploration and less implementation, you should be fine. It is a great day for extending one’s magickal studies, even if you’re at the beach. Fairly powerful magicks may be implemented to day, with caution.
Monday, July 21, 2014
Monday, July 21, 2014, 25 Boedromion, no particular dedication in the Athenian Calendar, in Roman rites the second day of the celebration of the Lucaria, dedicated to the Deities presiding over groves, death of Robert Burns 1796, 9th night of the Waning Moon, starting in Taurus, then going Void of Course from 10:13 A.M. to 12:35 P.M., then entering Gemini, ruled over by the 12th Decan, Thiumis, starting in the 5th Mansion of the Moon Al Haq’a/Almices, good for healing, building, children, the return of lost things, then entering the 6th Mansion of the Moon, Al Han’ah/Athaya, a day for stirring things up, promoting cruel and destructive acts, agricultural disasters, around 8:30 P.M.
Hours of the Day begin with the Moon at 5:41 A.M., and last 73.4 minutes. Planetary Hours of the Night commence with Venus at 8:22 P.M., lasting 46.6 minutes, Sun in Cancer, Mercury in Planetary Cancer, Venus in Cancer, Mars in Libra, Jupiter in Leo, Saturn in Scorpio.
With both the Sun and Jupiter sextile to the Moon today, you should find it easier to stake out your ground and assert the validity of your position. We are all confronted by questioning what we have done in the past, as Uranus goes retrograde today (joining Neptune and Pluto, and all three remain so for months). However, now that Saturn is direct, we should all be able to move forward. The move into the 6th Mansion in the evening cautions us to not let others have it with both barrels, and to turn one’s frustrations into a more prudent channel. Use one’s magicks to deflect the aggression of others back on them.
Sunday, July 20, 2014
Sunday, July 20, 2014, 24 Boedromion, no particular dedication, Edward I taes Stirling Castle, ending the Scottish rebellion 1304, Pope Adian VI promulgates a Papal Bull calling for sorcers to be purged “by fire and sword” 1523, Apollo 11 moonwalk 1969, birth of Alexander the Great 356 BCE, of Petrach 1304 AD, 8th night of the Waning Moon, in Taurus, ruled over by the 12th Decan, Thiumis (under the influence of the Moon), starting in the 4th Mansion of the Moon, Al Deberan/ Aldeberan, good for playing the margins, shaking things up, then moving into the 5th Mansion of the Moon Al Haq’a/Almices, good for healing, building, children, the return of lost things, around 9:00 P.M.
Hours of the Day begin with the Sun at 5:40 A.M., and last 73.5 minutes. Planetary Hours of the Night commence with Jupiter at 8:23 P.M., lasting 46.5 minutes, Sun in Cancer, Mercury in Planetary Cancer, Venus in Cancer, Mars in Libra, Jupiter in Leo, Saturn starts retrograde Scorpio, goes direct 4:36 P.M.
Just when you thought things could finally move forward, now that Saturn goes direct, it gives us one parting shot, being in opposition to the Moon early in the morning, perfect punctuation to the blockages and reversals of the past few months. Consider today a chance to review all the baggage that’s been toted around, with an eye to what can be discarded, or put back in storage. You might want use today for cleansings, preparing for (rather than instigating) change.
Saturday, July 19, 2014
Saturday, July 19, 2014, 23 Boedromion, no particular dedication in the Athenian Calendar, in Roman rites a celebration of the Lucaria, homoring tree groves and the power manifested in them, Lady Jane Grey deposed as Queen of England 1553, Senaca Falls Convention opens 1848, birth of Samuel Colt 1814, Rebecca Nurse hanged as a Witch in Salem 1692, 7th night of the Waning Moon, starting Void of Course in Aries, then entering Taurus 4:43 A.M., starting in the 3rd Mansion of the Moon, Al Thurayya/Alzoraya, good for career support, general good luck, and to help or hinder judicial matters, moving the 4th Mansion of the Moon, Al Deberan / Aldeberan, good for playing the margins, shaking things up, around 9:00 P.M.
Hours of the Day begin with Saturn at 5:40 A.M., and last 73.5 minutes. Planetary Hours of the Night commence with Mercury at 8:23 P.M., lasting 46.5 minutes, Sun in Cancer, Mercury in Planetary Cancer, Venus in Cancer, Mars in Libra, Jupiter in Leo, Saturn retrograde Scorpio.
With the Sun square Mars today, it’s much easier to focus on oneself rather than others. While there might not be much soul-searching involved, there is a whole lot of what makes me happy, without a concern for others. This is enforced by the Moon then squaring Jupiter. As the early evening has the Moon sextile to Venus, Neptune and Mercury, not only with there be this eruption of self-concrn, it will seem to many that the whole universe revolves around their whims. I expect this will all get a bit tedious (expect for the individual concerned). I can already hear the arguments. You may wake up tomorrow and wonder why you made that big ticket purchase today. It’s easy to fall in love with a house, car, boat, or some such extravagance. For heaven’s sake, stay away from Cartiers. Magickally, people should be feeling pretty lucky, with this wind of self-importance at one’s back, and so, you may be able to have some unexpected (but certainly deserved) fortune drawn your way.
Friday, July 18, 2014
Friday, July 18, 2014, 22 Boedromion, no particular dedication, anniversary of the deveat of the Roman army by the Gauls 390 BCE, which lead to the sacking of Rome, of the great fire in Rome during Nero’s reign 64 AD, birthday of Emperor Rudolph II 1552, of Robert Hooke 1635, death of Petrarch 1374, of Caravaggio 1710, of Jane Austen 1817, 6th night of the Waning Moon (Last Quarter), starting in Aries, going Void of Course from 10:18 P.M. through the rest of the day, starting in the 2nd Mansion of the Moon, Al Botein/Alboitan, good for finding treasure, capturing things, exciting situations, achieving things, then entering the 3rd Mansion of the Moon, Al Thurayya/Alzoraya, good for career support, general good luck, to help or hinder judicial matters, around 9:00 P.M.
Hours of the Day begin with Venus at 5:39 A.M., and last 73.8 minutes. Planetary Hours of the Night commence with Mars at 8:25 P.M., lasting 46.2 minutes, Sun in Cancer, Mercury in Planetary Cancer, Venus starts in Gemini, then moves into Cancer 10:06 A.M. Mars in Libra, Jupiter in Leo, Saturn retrograde Scorpio.
Today starts a new focus on home, and more importantly, on developing or increasing the loving support system the concept of home provides, with Venus’s move into Cancer. Paired with Jupiter’s move into Leo 2 days ago (which brings more self-confidence and augments one’s abilities), this should be a good time to establish new and more expansive interconnections in your private life. But these things cannot be forced, particularly today. The combination of the Moon being conjunct Uranus and in opposition to Mars (to say nothing of it being the last quarter, and so, the Moon square the Sun), stirs up a lot of anxiety that we aren’t doing enough, we aren’t getting things done, that we are disappointing (or others are). Try to accept that laying the groundwork is as (if not more) important than seeing results today. The support of the Moon’s move into the 3rd mansion assists one’s magicks to bring people together, to establish new alliances, to blunt rancor.
Thursday, July 17, 2014
Thursday, July 17, 2014, 21 Boedromion, 5th night of the Waning Moon, starting Void of Course in Pisces, then entering Aries 12:07 A.M., dedicated to Demeter and Persephone, 2nd night of the enacting of the Mysteries, in Roman rites dedeicated to Honor and Virtue, an offerinf made to Victory, starting in the 28th Mansion of the Moon Al Risha Batn/Arrexhe, good for increase, travel, love, then entering the 1st Mansion of the Moon, Al Sharatain/Alnath, which is good for dealing with complex systems, regulations, technical matters, around 12:07 A.M., finally entering the 2nd Mansion of the Moon, Al Botein/Alboitan, good for finding treasure, capturing things, exciting situations, achieving things, around 7:00 P.M.
Hours of the Day begin with Jupiter at 5:38 A.M., and last 73.9 minutes. Planetary Hours of the Night commence with the Moon at 8:25 P.M., lasting 46.1 minutes, Sun in Cancer, Mercury in Planetary Cancer, Venus in Gemini, Mars in Libra, Jupiter in Leo, Saturn retrograde Scorpio.
There is a tendency today to over-explain, or to ramble on today. Communications could be worse, but the Aries Moon squaring Mercury brings out the lecturer in us all. Try to edit, and a allow for conversation rather than a monologue. On the bright side, the same Moon is trine Jupiter, ruler of the day, so there are opportunities to appear in your best light. Magickally, it’s a good day to trim away the superfluous, to bring some order out of disorder.
Wednesday, July 16, 2014
Wednesday, July 16, 2014, 20 Boedromion, dedicated to Demeter and Persephone, the first night of the initiations into the Mysteries, the flight from Mecca to Medina, the Hejira, and so, start of the Islamic calendar 622 AD, the start of the schism between the Catholic and Eastern Church 1054, Joan d’Arc enters Rheims 1429, birthday of Mary Baker Eddy 1821, death of Lyonaise printer Antonius Gryphius 1664, 4th night of the Waning Moon, starting in Pisces, then going Void of Course from 8:57 P.M. through the rest of the day, starting in the the 27th Mansion of the Moon Al Mu’hir/Algorf, good for material gain, health, overcoming enemies, and aid to the desperate, then entering the 28th Mansion of the Moon Al Risha Batn/Arrexhe, good for increase, travel, love, bad for cherished things, around 1:00 A.M.
Planetary Hours of the Day begin with Mercury at 5:37 A.M., and last 74 minutes. Planetary Hours of the Night commence with the Sun at 8:26 P.M., lasting 46 minutes, Sun in Cancer, Mercury in Cancer, Venus in Gemini, Mars in Libra, Jupiter starts in Cancer, then enters Leo 6:30 A.M., Saturn retrograde Scorpio.
Today is something of a continuation of yesterday, as we are still bounded by past occurances, the Moon being trine Saturn retrograde keeps us within the arena in which we have been operating, which we can cope with, thanks to the Moon also being trine the Sun. unfortunately, it’s difficult to generate much joy about our circumstances today, as the Moon squaring Venus in the evening makes us question whether it is all, in fact, worth the effort. Just carry on. It’s best to use your magicks today to increase calm, to carve out a sanctuary.
Tuesday, July 15, 2014
Tuesday, July 15, 2014, 19 Boedromion, in the Athenian Calendar dedicated to Demeter and Persephone, the procession of the Initiates from Athens to Eleusis commenced, the Royal Society chartered in England 1662, birthday of Thomas Bulfinch 1796, birt and death day of Juan Ponce de Leon 1458-1521), 3rd night of the Waning Moon, in Pisces, starting in the 26th Mansion Al Mukdim/Almiquedam, good for love and health, liberation, then entering the 27th Mansion of the Moon Al Mu’hir/Algorf, good for material gain, health, overcoming enemies, and aid to the desperate, around 5:00 A.M.
Planetary Hours of the Day begin with Mars at 5:36 A.M., and last 74.1 minutes. Planetary Hours of the Night commence with Saturn at 8:26 P.M., lasting 45.9 minutes, Sun in Cancer, Mercury in Cancer, Venus in Gemini, Mars in Libra, Jupiter in Cancer, Saturn retrograde Scorpio.
Hopes, fears, and plans bubble up to the surface today, thanks to the Pisces Moon being trine Mercury and conjunct Neptune retrograde. This may take the form of musings and reveries, they being spoken out loud, should reveal important information, or someone may reveal what’s really on their mind. In any case, if you think before you speak, you may be able to take the advantage while others around you share too much. This goes along with the currents generated by the move into the 27th Mansion; one’s magicks can be effective in turning situations to your advantage.
Monday, July 14, 2014
Monday, July 14, 2014, 18 Boedromion, no particular dedication, Bastille Day (the Bastille fell 1789), start of the French Revolution, death of Jacob de Voraigne, author of “The Golden Legend” 1298, of Merc Casaubon (who published John Dee’s Diaries as “A Faithful Relation…” 1671, 2nd night of the Waning Moon, starting in Aquarius, then going Void of Course from 3:23 P.M. to 10:39 P.M., then entering Pisces, starting in the 25th Mansion of the Moon, Al Alibiya/Caadulhachbia, good for hindering the activities of others, revenge, then entering the 26th Mansion Al Mukdim/Almiquedam, good for love and health, liberation, around 9:00 A.M.
Planetary Hours of the Day begin with the Moon at 5:36 A.M., and last 74.25 minutes. Planetary Hours of the Night commence with Venus at 8:27 P.M., lasting 45.75 minutes, Sun in Cancer, Mercury in Cancer, Venus in Gemini, Mars in Libra, Jupiter in Cancer, Saturn retrograde Scorpio.
A perfect day to show one’s competency in one’s own chosen field, and for that competency to be recognized, a nice congruence all around. The Moon being square Saturn retrograde confines you to shining by sticking to what has worked before, while haing Mars and Venus both being trine the Moon provides the energy and admiration you need to feel today. It also doesn’t hurt that the Moon is sextile Uranus in the morning, which assists in reading the situations you might find yourself in. in your magickal activities ,try to tap into the mantra of love, health, liberation embodied by the 26th Mansion.
Saturday, July 12, 2014
Saturday, July 12, 2014, 16 Boedromion, in the Athenian Calender dedicated to Demeter and Pershephone, as well as Hekate, those who were to undergo into the Great Mysteries went down to the sea to ritually cleanse themselves (along with their sacrificial pigs), in Roman rites dedicated to Apollo, Morman leader Joseph Smith announces Polygamy is sanctioned by God 1843, birthday of Henry David Thoreau 1817, death of Erasmus 1536, 7th day of games in his honor, night of the Full Moon, the day starting in Capricorn, then going Void of Course from 9:56 P.M. to 11:06 P.M., then entering Aquarius, starting in the 23rd Mansion of the Moon, Sa’d Bula/Caaddebolach, good for health, freedom, then entering the 24th Mansion of the Moon, Al Sulud/Caaddcohot, good for overcoming those against you, general success, around 5:00 P.M.
Planetary Hours of the Day begin with Saturn at 5:34 A.M., and last 74.5 minutes. Planetary Hours of the Night commence with Mercury at 8:28 P.M., lasting 45.5 minutes, Sun in Cancer, Mercury in Gemini, Venus in Gemini, Mars in Libra, Jupiter in Cancer, Saturn retrograde Scorpio.
This could be a somewhat exhausting Full Moon, either because of one’s own actions, or those of others. The basic tendency is towards self-indulgent behavior (what a surprise, it being summer and all), but the potential is there to over-do it. The Moon being in opposition the Sun (as it is during a Full Moon) intensifies whatever has been going on during the Lunar cycle it complete. So, if you’ve been having a good time, you’ll just want more of the same. This desire for experience is augmented by the Moon also being in opposition to Jupiter and sextile to Saturn retrograde (which can lock us into just doing more of what we’ve been doing). The reason for this direction causing friction is the level of self-indulgence engendered by the Moon starting the day being square Uranus, and later, square Mars, which can bring on a l;ack of concern about the desires of others. This focus on one’s own needs, however, allows for utilizing the magickal currents to set things out in a pattern pleasing to you.

Thursday, July 10, 2014, 14 Boedromion, no particular dedication in the Athenian Calendar, in Roman rites dedicated to Apollo, 5th day of Games in his honor, founding of Dublin 988 AD, Telstar launched (1st geosynchronous communications satellite, & only one with its own song) 1962, birthday of John Calvin 1509, death of Emperor Hadrian 138 AD, of El Cid 1099, 14th night of the Waxing Moon, starting in Sagittarius, then going Void of Course from 8:10 P.M. to 11:24 P.M., then entering Capricorn, starting in the 20th Mansion, Al Nalaim/Nahaym, good for compulsion, underhanded dealings, good for travel, then entering the 21st Mansion of the Moon, Al Bal’dah/ Elbelda, good for acquiring material possessions, around 9:00 A.M.
Planetary Hours of the Day begin with Jupiter at 5:33 A.M., and last 74.66 minutes. Planetary Hours of the Night commence with the Moon at 8:29 P.M., lasting 45.33 minutes, Sun in Cancer, Mercury in Gemini, Venus in Gemini, Mars in Libra, Jupiter in Cancer, Saturn retrograde Scorpio.
We’re all just cats on a hot tin roof, trying to stay on as best we can, the tone being set early in the day with abundant kinetic energy set up by the Moon being trine Uranus and sextile Mars, while concern about the consequences of acting on these impulses being dampened by the Moon being in opposition to Venus. Today is a day which compels risk-taking (whether the results are worth it or not). The evening brings the Moon in opposition to Mercury, which can lead to faltering judgment, or a failure of nerve. As one becomes conscious of one’s situation, you might wonder how you got so far out on this limb. This is a day to utilize ones magicks to draw things to you, for acquisition, in general for hunter-gatherer behavior.

Wednesday, July 09, 2014, 13 Boedromion, in the Athenian Calendar the day a trip was made to Eleusis for ritual materials used in the celebration of the Mysteries of Demeter and Persephone, in Roman rites dedicated to Apollo, 4th day of games in his honor, Lady Jane Grey proclaimed Queen of England 1553, 13th night of the Waxing Moon, in Sagittarius, starting in the 19th Mansion, Al Shaulah/ Exaula, good for all defensive and aggressive work, then entering the 20th Mansion, Al Nalaim/Nahaym, good for compulsion, underhanded dealings, good for travel, around 7:00 A.M.
Planetary Hours of the Day begin with Mercury at 5:32 A.M., and last 74.75 minutes. Planetary Hours of the Night commence with the Sun at 8:29 P.M., lasting 45.25 minutes, Sun in Cancer, Mercury in Gemini, Venus in Gemini, Mars in Libra, Jupiter in Cancer, Saturn retrograde Scorpio.
With the Moon being square a retrograde Neptune, it is all too easy to fall into one’s fantasy world, which isn’t such a bad thing. Stepping out of the mundane world, should you have the time and resources, isn’t such a bad thing. It’s the perfect day for attending a fandom convention. If you need to deal with the mundane world, however, you may wish to rein in your flights of fancy just a bit. Have a care with one’s magickal workings today, as instigating one’s whims into reality would have unforssen consequences which you might not be able to reverse; the tendency is towards making unfortunate choices for short-term goals.

Tuesday, July 08, 2014, 12 Boedromion, no particular dedication in the Athenian Calendar, in Roman rites dedicated to Apollo, 3rd day of games in his honor, as well as aday of thanksgiving to Victory, founding of Paris 951 AD, first inoculation against Smallpox 1800, birthday of John D. Rockefeller 1835,of Arthur Evans, excavator of Knossos 1851, death of Percy Bysshe Shelley 1822, of Herman Slater (Magickal Childe) 1992, 12th night of the Waxing Moon, starting in Secorpio, then going Void of Course from 6:33 P.M. to (;24 P.M., then entering Sagittarius, starting in the 18th Mansion of the Moon, Al Kalb/Alkab, good for plots and revenge, then entering the 19th Mansion, Al Shaulah/ Exaula, good for all defensive and aggressive work, around 9:00 A.M.
Planetary Hours of the Day begin with Mars at 5:31 A.M., and last 74.9 minutes. Planetary Hours of the Night commence with Saturn at 8:30 P.M., lasting 45.1 minutes, Sun in Cancer, Mercury in Gemini, Venus in Gemini, Mars in Libra, Jupiter in Cancer, Saturn retrograde Scorpio.
The sames aspects as yesterday apply today as regards the Sun. Fortunately, the Moon is trine Jupiter in the early evening, which should allow one’s competency to be recognized and acknowledged (though no new ground is broken, alas). You might want to use the energies of the day to hinder or thwart rivals.

Saturday, July 5, 2014, 9 Boedromion, no particular dedication in the Athenian Calendar, in Roman rites the day of the Popilfugia, commemorating the evacuation of Rome after an invasion, publication of Isaac Newtons “Principia”, invention of the transistor by William Shockley 1951, birthday of Phineas Barnum 1810, 9th night of the Waxing Moon (1st Quarter), in Libra, start in the 15th Mansion (Al Ghafar/Algafra); a good day for treasure hunting and sleuthing, causing friction between people, dealing a blow, entering the 16th Mansion, Al Zubana/Azubene, good for dealing with hindrances and reversals, around 9:00 A.M.
Planetary Hours of the Day begin with Saturn at 5:30 A.M., and last 75 minutes. Planetary Hours of the Night commence with Mercury at 8:30 P.M., lasting 45 minutes, Sun in Cancer, Mercury in Gemini, Venus in Gemini, Mars in Libra, Jupiter in Cancer, Saturn retrograde Scorpio.
A difficult day to sort out one’s motivations, or to communicate exactly what you might wish to get across. The usual 1st Quarter frustrations are in place, with the Sun/Moon square causing anxiety. This combines with the Moon being in opposition to Uranus, making an orderly thought process more difficult to maintain. Finally, a surfeit of concern can well up with the Moon being trine Venus while it occludes Mars. All this can lead to triggering over-protective behavior, to seeing dangers where none exist (like not allowing butter knives to be used, they’re so dangerous). Try to not over-react. Magically, a day for protective work, with the caveat that you can really overdo it, and you might hurt yourself

Friday, July 04, 2014, 8 Boedromion, dedicated to Poseidon, first recorded appearance of the super nova which formed the Crab Nebula 1054 AD, Independence Day, deaths of John Adams and Thomas Jefferson 1826, of James Monroe 1831,of Marie Curie 1934, 8th night of the Waxing Moon, staring in Libra, then going Void of Course from 12:21 A.M. to 5:42 A.M., then entering Libra, starting in the 14th Mansion (Al Simak); good for promoting love, health, bad for land travel, good for other modes, then passing into the 15th Mansion (Al Ghafar/Algafra); a good time for treasure hunting and sleuthing, causing friction between people, dealing a blow, just before 8:00 A.M.
Planetary Hours of the Day begin with Venus at 5:29 A.M., and last 75.1 minutes. Planetary Hours of the Night commence with Mars at 8:31 P.M., lasting 44.9 minutes, Sun in Cancer, Mercury in Gemini, Venus in Gemini, Mars in Libra, Jupiter in Cancer, Saturn retrograde Scorpio.
Just a pleasant day (or at least one which holds the potential to be one), the dominant event being the Moon sextile Jupiter, which beings warm feelings and good times, generally. All in all , it’s best to utilize the energies of the 15th Mansion for scrying and divination, rather than attempting to zap others, even if they deserve it.

Thursday, July 03, 2014, 7 Boedromion, dedicated to Apollo Boedromos (the Rescuer), battle of Gettysburg 1863, birthday of Franz Kafka 1883, death of Maria de’ Medici 1642, of Jean-Jacques Rousseau 1778, 7th night of the Waxing Moon, in Virgo, starting in the 13th Mansion of the Moon, Al Awwa/Alahue, good for aid, comfort, assistance, 14th Mansion, Al Simak/ Azimech, good for promoting love, health; bad for land travel, good for other modes, around 3:00 A.M.
Planetary Hours of the Day begin with Jupiter at 5:28 A.M., and last 75.25 minutes. Planetary Hours of the Night commence with the Moon at 8:31 P.M., lasting 44.75 minutes, Sun in Cancer, Mercury in Gemini, Venus in Gemini, Mars in Libra, Jupiter in Cancer, Saturn retrograde Scorpio.
Navel gazing abounds today, as the dominant force today is the Virgo Moon being trine Saturn retrograde (yes, it’s still retrograde until the 20th). Its rather like the premise behind “Groundhog Day”, and we we all will be sifting through the materials here in the closed loop, trying out new combinations, siftiong and sorting. Magickally, lending what aid one can to others is the ticket; this has been a fairly gentle Vigo Moon, for a change.

Wednesday, July 02, 2014, 6 Boedromion, dedicated to Artemis, birthday of Emporer Valentinian 419 AD, death of Nostradamus 1566, of astronomer Thomas Harriot 1621, 6th night of the Waxing Moon, in Virgo, starting in the 12th Mansion of the Moon, Al Sarfah/Acarfal, good for friendship and charitable acts, around 1:00 A.M., finally entering the 13th Mansion of the Moon, Al Awwa/Alahue, good for aid, comfort, assistance, around 7:00 A.M.
Planetary Hours of the Day begin with Mercury at 5:28 A.M., and last 75.25 minutes. Planetary Hours of the Night commence with the Sun at 8:31 P.M., lasting 44.75 minutes, Sun in Cancer, Mercury in Gemini, Venus in Gemini, Mars in Libra, Jupiter in Cancer, Saturn retrograde Scorpio.
A easy day to be looking for love in all the wrong places, or equally, looking in the right places but just saying the wrong thing, which is sad, as the Moon is sextile the Sun, which brings warm, expansive feelings, generally. However, with the Moon being in opposition to Neptune retrograde in the morning and square Venus in the afternoon, the chances for disaster (or at least setbacks) abound. This is also a caution for established relationships as well; tread with care. With the Moon in the 13th Mansion, you should be able to smooth over the rough patches with ones magicks, and perhaps even work a touch of glamour.
Tuesday, July 1, 2014
Tuesday, July 01, 2014, 5 Boedromion, no particular dedication in the Athenian calendar, in Roman rites dedicated to Juno Moneta, to Mars, and the Tempestates (storm Goddesses), Titus begins attacking the walls of Jerusalem 70 AD, death of Isaac Causaubon 1614, 5th night of the Waxing Moon, starting in Leo, then going Void of Course from 6:00 A.M. to 5:42 P.M., then entering Virgo, starting in the 11th Mansion of the Moon, Al Zubrah/Azobra, which is good for reversing negative opinions and judgments, then entering the 12th Mansion of the Moon, Al Sarfah/Acarfal, good for friendship and charitable acts, around 7:00 A.M.
Planetary Hours of the Day begin with Mars at 5:27 A.M., and last 75.33 minutes. Planetary Hours of the Night commence with Saturn at 8:31 P.M., lasting 44.66 minutes, Sun in Cancer, Mercury starts retrograde in Gemini, goes direct 8:50 A.M.,Venus in Gemini, Mars in Libra, Jupiter in Cancer, Saturn retrograde Scorpio.
Well, we’re making progress, having Mercury go direct this morning, just after the Moon is sextile to it (and then goes Void of Course). This confluence of events will allow news, information and knowledge flow more easily over the next few days. However, this flow will be a bit garbled today as there is usually an echo effect, ripples of interference caused by the change of apparent motion, so act cautiously on new information received, as not everything will come through completely and clearly. It’s another day magickally which will support most any positive work.
