Friday, May 02, 2014, 4 Hekatombaion, in the Athenian calendar dedicated to Hermes, Aphrodite, Eros, in Roman rites the 6th day of the Floralia, dedicated to Flora, birthday of Athanasius Kircher 1601, of Catherine the Great 1729, death of Leonardo di Vinci 1519, 4th night of the Waxing Moon, the whole day void of Course in Gemini, starting in the the 6th Mansion of the Moon Al Han’ah/Athaya, good for stirring things up, promoting cruel and destructive acts, agricultural disasters, then entering the 7th Mansion of the Moon, Al Dhira/Aldirah, good for success when contending against authority figures, and for acts promoting gain, love, comfort, around 1:00 A.M. Planetary Hours of the Day begin with Venus at 5:53 A.M., and last 69.75 minutes. Planetary Hours of the Night commence with Mars at 7:52 P.M., lasting 50.25 minutes, Sun in Taurus, Mercury in Taurus, Venus starts in Pisces, moves into Aries 9:12 P.M., Mars retrograde in Libra, Jupiter in Cancer, Saturn retrograde Scorpio. During the day, there should be a certain ease (rather than laziness), brought on by the Moon being Void of Course, which should allow the full effects of it’s move into the 7th Mansion to be dominant. The Mercury/Saturn opposition in the evening lends itself to inducing some soul searching. While not a comfortable project, this is a time to objectively examine your assumptions and the underlying structure on which you hang your actions, with an eye to change. Magickally, we should be able to turn our focus outwards towards the needs of others.
