Wednesday, March 20, 2013, 10 Thargelion, Ostara/ the Vernal Equinox, 10th night of the Waxing Moon, in Cancer, going Void of Course from 2:01 P.M. through the rest of the day, starting in the 8th Mansion of the Moon, Al Nathra/Ahaathra, governing positive aspects of love and happiness, then entering the 9th Mansion of the Moon Al Tarf/ Atarf, an appropriate time for baneful and destructive forms of magic, around 3:00 P.M.
Planetary Hours of the Day begin with Mercury at 6:59 A.M., and last 60.66 minutes. Planetary Hours of the Night commence with the Sun at 7:07 P.M., lasting just under 59.33 minutes. Sun starts in Pisces, then enters Aries 7:02 A.M, Mercury in Pisces, Venus in Pisces, Mars in Aries, Jupiter in Gemini, Saturn retrograde in Scorpio.
A conflicted Ostara for us this year; as may be noted by looking at the planetary hours this week, equal hours of day and night fell on March 17th. Today, the Sun moves into Aries while the Moon moves into a baneful Mansion of the Moon, and is square Mars as well. These aspects combine to make this a day for caution, not unbridled exhuberance. This is a day better suited to watching your back, taking small, deliberate steps, and making sure of a safe harbor. Magically, a day better suited to thwarting others, rather than putting out anything positive. Sorry about that.
