It may be true that, with proper attention to detail (and an eye to Planetary currents), almost any sort of magical work can be attempted at (almost) any time, though one’s success can be rather hit or miss. However, certain seasons have an affinity to assist particular outcomes without so much fuss and bother. As the Sun moves through Libra and Scorpio in October /November, the barriers between past, present and future become porous; at the same time, it is easier to draw things closer to you. Consider it last call at the Cosmic Bar; you’ll be stuck with whatever you’ve attracted during this period all though the winter. Allow me to assist you with a few tips and tricks (that are also treats) which should help you to gather in what you need to get though the remainder of the year in comfort.
Considering what a delightful economic year this has been thus far, let’s concentrate on improving your finances. In general, you want to attempt any of the below during a Waxing (increasing) Moon, and on a Sunday, Wednesday, or Thursday (they being considered to be under the influence of the Sun, Mercury, and Jupiter). This year, the best days in October for such work are the 7th, 17th, and 20th; the best in November are the 6th, 11th, 14th, 18th, and 21st.
The colors of money drawing are green and gold (as well as for several High Schools), and, if doing a candle spell, green predominates. The trappings and symbols you might wish to employ for an extra “kick” are the same as those used by the culture at large this time of year: cornucopias, pinecones, acorns, and yellow foods like maize, or cupcakes. Now, onto the spells!
You might first want to burn some Money Drawing Incense; this is composed of Lavender, Rosemary, Sage, and Thyme (all of which you have to hand at home, of course). This can also be baked into a cracker or bread to bring success to an opening night party, or carried in a green cotton bag (also containing a silver dime), a pocket piece to bring some green you way.
Want more Money Drawing (yes, please)! These mixtures lure the money into the house (where it does at it is told). One of the simplest is a 2 to 1 mixture of Benzoin (an incense resin) and Cinnamon. If this does not suit, Pine needles mixed with Bayberry will do the job. For those with more time on their hands, compound the following ingredients and fume away: Patchouli, Sandalwood, Cinnamon, Bayberry, Cinnamon, Benzoin, and Cloves.
If you require a working that requires more active participation on your part you might employ the following ritual: Stick five Quarters to the bottom of five stubby green candles (they can be Bayberry scented, if you like). Arrange these in a circle, surrounding five stubby white ones, formed into a star.
Starting on a Wednesday, fire them up, and concentrate on a particular sum. Fifteen minutes out of your schedule should do the trick; the important thing is that you do this the same time every day, until they have completely burned down. Then bury the remains in a place they will not be disturbed (including the quarters).
What you do with your newfound wealth is, of course, entirely up to you (but might I suggest, in addition to providing a better class of candy for trick or treaters coming to your door, that you share the wealth with a food bank, of a GLBT shelter. Share the wealth, baby! Happy Samhain!
